Story Behind Poha :
If you go in the history of Pohe, then Poha was served for breakfast in the army cantonment in Mhow in Indore district, because the British considered Pohe as a complete breakfast, when traders from Maharashtra started coming to Indore, one of them approached Rajbada. The first shop of Pohe was opened on Yashwant Road located, which is still running till date. From the beginning, the taste of Pohe was very pleasing to the people of Indore. In the ten years after independence, about fifty shops in Pohe were run in Indore, but in 1960, due to shortage of rice in the country, the government also banned the manufacture of pohe. However, this ban did not last a year and Pohe's business has not looked back since then. Today at least one pohe shop is available in our Indore at least every 100 meters. Source of the story
